We absolutely recommend pet insurance to keep your pets protected against accidents or illness. For example, a simple X-ray can easily cost over $250 while emergency surgery could mount up to well over $5,000. That’s not to mention wellness checks, dental care, spaying and neutering, worming and any other typical costs of keeping your pet healthy. With pet insurance, your pet (and your wallet) are covered for total peace of mind.

The price of pet insurance varies greatly and this often comes down to a number of factors including age, location, breed or policy coverage limits. But ask yourself, could you afford to pay for a $50,000 vet bill out of your own pocket? In reality, pet insurance is more affordable than you think and that’s why we’re on a mission to help insure every pet in America.

Unlike human health insurance, most pet insurance plans reimburse you for the cost of veterinary care. However, recently this has been changing to a scenario where more and more vets will accept payment directly from the insurance company. It’s worth asking your vet if they will take payment from the insurer because if so you’ll only need to pay for any deductible and co-pay you chose. If your vet won’t accept payment from the insurer then it’s usually just a few days until the insurer will reimburse you.
